Happy 8th Birthday Anna!

This week belongs to Anna! She's still on a high after making her 1st Communion and now she turns 8 years old!

We had our family celebration at the Rainforest Cafe but I didn't think to bring my camera. Which is okay because my hands wouldn't have been free for picture taking. Instead, they held a little 2 yo the entire time. Catherine was VERY frightened and hid under the table. It took two of us to drag out from underneath. She sat in my lap and covered her eyes the entire time.

She did manage to take a nap in there but woke up with the "thunderstorm." For those who have been there, you know what I mean. For those who haven't, you're probably wondering what's so wonderful about a restaurant that is apparently scary to two-years olds! LOL!

Anyways, Anna is 8! And she's getting to be such a big girl. She was thrilled to receive a gift from her best friend and felt very loved. She will be getting our gift this Saturday.

She's been waiting over a month for the last two books from the Magic Treehouse Series, books #38 and #39. On Saturday, I don't expect to see her at all. She'll probably miss her own festivities so she can catch up with Jack and Annie. She'll have to wait until September for #40. That can be her beginning of the school year gift.

As for me, I'm so excited to be changing my sidebar to reflect a more reasonable child spacing ... at least for the next 6 months!! In December the stair step spacing begins all over again!

We've gone to that restaurant, too, and Elizabeth cried the entire time. She screamed during every thunderstorm. It's a neat place, just not so good for toddlers.

Happy birthday, Anna!!

Yeah, my older children LOVE it there. Kolbe used to be afraid at that age too. Now, he can't get enough of the fish tanks and loves the thunderstorms!! Maybe next time we'll leave Catherine with a grandma.

Happy birthday Anna! The Rainforest Cafe is a lot of fun! We've treated ourselves to the one outside Disneyland. The kids always enjoy themselves.

Happy Birthday, Anna!

We've only been to the RC once. The girls were quite little, and Madeline (being Madeline) just didn't get it. "Why would people want to eat in the rain? They could do that outside. It's just SILLY to make lightning inside."

Lydia liked it well enough.
