*UPDATED*
I have to go in for a 3 hour glucose test tomorrow morning. I didn't "pass" the 1 hour screen test so now I have to go for the official diagnostic test.
Problems (1) & (2):
(1) I'm very afraid of needles!!
(2) If I don't pass, there's a chance I might not get to stay with the midwives.
So please offer up a little prayer for me. I've never had this problem with my prior pregnancies. I go in tomorrow morning at 8:30am.
** The midwife knew how anxious I was and promised to get me results ASAP. I thought she meant Monday. She called me this evening and said, not only did I pass BUT I passed with very low numbers. She can't figure out why I didn't pass the 1 hour test.
Needless to say, she had to poke more than the required 4 times!! :-/ My veins were hard to find. I didn't enjoy the ordeal BUT I'm glad to have passed!! Thank you so much for your prayers!! Now to celebrate with some decaf coffee and a slice of pie!! LOL!!

You have my prayers, Lillian!
Prayers Lillian! I can't tell you how many women I know who have failed the 1 hour but passed the 3 hour. Try not to worry!
I will never drink that horrid soda again. Seriously, do you consume that much sugar in a normal...or even occationally? I doubt it. I personally think that if random sugars look good, then you're good to go.
Drink lots of water!
Praying!
I failed the one hour glucose in five out of seven pregnancies, but the three hour was always fine.
Oh, my! I think I'm too late to offer a help. I failed my one hour test with my first five pregnancies and had to take the three hour one. Horrible! With Penelope, though, I'd read some helpful advice, and I followed it, and I passed the one hour for the first time ever. I limited my sugar that morning, which was mostly in my coffee, and I ate a big protein meal to offset the sugar they were going to bombard me with. I know it's too late for you to do this now, but I'll say a prayer for you this morning. Good luck!
I failed the 1-hour 2 of 3 times. I think this last time I was trying to stop eating carbs as the 1st test approached (I only ate bacon for breakfast that morning), but realized that could've made it worse. Best to eat balanced meals!
So glad to hear all is well. What's the word on the dog? I'm neutral. I like having a pet but the little things just get on my nerves like our current flea infestation and his fluid-filled ear. I think we'll always have a dog, but I can imagine it would be very hard to add one to an already-big family. Maybe you could try him out?
Wew...thank God!
