Vincent-boy is sitting up!

I've done a poor job of showing off my little man. Today while sitting on the floor we "discovered" he can sit up! Mind you, its not like we've been working with him or trying to get him to sit. Isabelle just plopped him down and we gasped! He can sit! Guess who's going to be getting lots of sitting practice now?

Busy adjusting to life with Vincent! He likes to sleep during the day and stay awake by night so I'm slowly trying to adjust his schedule. We also start school next week and I'm printing/copying those final papers, charts, schedules, etc. Here are some pictures of my little man. Its the best blogging I can do right now!

Video Announcement

I'm so behind in uploading pics and videos to my blog. In fact, I've got Christmas videos I still want to upload. Anyways, I thought I would start with one of the most recent. Its a video clip of when we told the kids (and my mom-in-law) that we are expecting baby boy.

Enjoy! The kids LOVE, LOVE, LOVE watching videos of themselves so I'll be uploading more in the future (because I've got too many on my phone!!)

Veronica's 1st Birthday Party

Veronica is now officially a year old! Her birthday was actually last Tuesday but we celebrated with friends and families on All Hallow's Eve. Veronica seemed to enjoy her cake and loved all her new toys. Here are a few pictures of her special day.

I couldn't resist making this fun and yummy cake I saw in a magazine. It was made with two 1.5 L Pyrex bowels. The stem is a Snickers bar. The kids had funny adding the orange Reeses Pieces (after I added the yellow ones for eyes, nose and mouth).

Plenty of fun was had by all. Happy birthday, sweet Veronica. My, how you have grown!!

Here's Miss Veronica trying out bananas for the first time. In the ideal world her mother would have bought organic bananas and smashed them with love. Instead my love bought the organic container! Actually, the kids bought it while out with Craig. They've been waiting weeks to feed her. But my rule is babies need at least a tooth and the ability to sit in the high chair before their first bite (normally 6-7 months). Enjoy the video ... and Catherine's silliness!

And if you think its noisy during dinner, we were actually being quiet!! LOL!

Veronica: 1 Month Old

Well, a month has gone by and Veronica is now one month old. She has turned out to be a beautiful nurser. Last weekend I was ready to quit but I've healed up nicely and she is doing beautifully. In fact, she is almost 1 pound over her birth weight!! YEAH!!

Here is my wide-eyed Veronica with her handsome daddy on Thanksgiving Day (her real one month birthday):

She's gaining weight!! YEAH!! Today we went in for her 2 week appointment and she weighed in at 8 lbs. 3 oz. Not exactly back at her birth weight but she gained 7 oz. in only 5 days!!! I'm feeding her often and encouraging her to eat for as long as possible. We go back on Friday and hopefully she'll be back to her birth weight.

Also, today she had her first real bath. Up until now she's either taken a bath with me or just had a light sponge bath.

Can I just say that this was the MOST difficult newborn bath I've ever given!! LOL! It had NOTHING to do with Veronica and all to do with the 5 children cramming around me to get the best view.

And the whole time I kept yelling to Craig, "Don't get me in the pictures .... PLEASE!!"

I was still in my pajamas and an awful mess.

Other great achievements today:

Isabelle: Scored a 100% on her math test!! Woohoo!! She always does well but gets SUPER DUPER excited with perfect scores. That's probably because I get SUPER DUPER excited with perfect scores!! LOL!

Anna: Went to swimming and let me leave!! YEAH!!

Sophia: Finished Lesson 50 of 100 Easy Lessons. We're half way done!! Now, just another 50 lessons to go! *groan*

Kolbe: Reached Lesson 25!! He's half way to Sophia!! Also, he's starting to write his numbers. This is a biggie because he can hardly hold the darn pencil much less make it do what he wants.

Catherine: Still potty trained!! No accidents. And ....... she gave herself another haircut!!

Me: I survived since Craig had to "go back to work." Of course he was home all day but I had to start pretending like he wasn't. LOL!! I didn't try my hardest to pretend!!! LOL!!

Tomorrow he flies out and doesn't return until Thursday night. I guess tomorrow I have no choice, huh?!

Catherine's Crawling!!

Just wanted to announce that Catherine is officially crawling!! She is my first baby to actually crawl on all fours. My others have always crawled on their bellies like G.I. Joe. This is exciting! She just turned 9 months a few days ago. Now we HAVE to keep our floors clean! Picture(s) soon to follow!

Feeding Frenzy

The big day finally arrived ...... for the older kids that is! Isabelle, Anna, Sophia and Kolbe have been anticipating Catherine's first feeding since the day she was born. For six months they've been deprived of giving her a bottle, a pacifier or any kind of food/drink. So when I pulled out the high chair last week they were VERY excited. They all wanted a chance to feed her and lucky for them Catherine tolerated it. She didn't much care for the food but she gave everyone lots of smiles!! I love how they love each other!!
