Every year the kids learn and memorize poetry. After they have learned a poem they illustrate and even copy it (if ability allows). Well, last year Anna never got around to illustrating or copying her favorite poem. So this week we did some catch up.
Here is her illustration for "The Song of Mr. Toad" by Kenneth Grahame. She's illustrating the third stanza. Ignore the wild, green markings. Unfortunately, she left her notebook out and a certain little brother took a crayon to her fine work. He got in trouble and she eventually stopped crying. I'll fix it with wite-out later. But I digress...... Here is her work:

I think those are supposed to be Toucan birds (ala Froot Loops) on top of the ark! LOL!! The animals are crying and Mr. Toad is on the right.
