Love the new furniture! Can't wait to see how the schoolroom turns out! And can't wait to see you in a few days...especially to talk....MATH! I see and hear about a new plan going on over there ;)
That desk looks neat! What kind of finish are you planning for it? So I have more MODG q's for you...when you get done with those piles of books you've got there. Looks like we're going with them.
Thanks ladies!! We got the bookshelf and desk at Furniture in the Raw here in town.
So far, they won't have a finish. I'm still up in the air as to what I want. And, honestly, I don't have the time. I need to store books and things.
The dek won't actually be used as a desk. It will be holding colors, colroing books, paper, flashcards of all types, cd player on top with cd's stored below, etc. It will be command central for all things that are necessary for homeschooling and yet seem to be lost. I even got the kids their own stapler and tape dispenser. I'm hoping this will work so they leave my things alnoe. And a different child will be in charge of it every week. They will be in charge of keeping it organized, pencils sharpened, etc. They are VERY, VERY excited.
I'm also hoping *praying* that out of sight will mean out of mine for a certain little 2 yo!!
I had hoped to post pictured of the completed room .... but I'm not even close to done!!
As for MODG q's, ask away!! I don't know that my life will ever get less busier!! LOL!
Okay, one should ALWAYS proofread their comments before posting .... especially when it is one's own blog!! Apologies for all the mispellings above!! I really can spell ... reely!!
Lillian, no worries about your light blogging--you have enough to tend to!! Glad to see you all have some great pieces to implement into your schoolroom! Isn't it amazing how, with children, one's home is in a constant state of demolition? I am trying desperately to do a little tidying each night after the kids are in bed--if I stay on top of it, it doesn't get too out-of-hand. The hard part: our toy room is our guest room... and with the baby coming, we're anticipating oodles of guests! Oh well!! Blessings to you...
