Today

Today was a good day although we didn't do what I planned. After breakfast, I practiced with Anna and Isabelle. For years we've been in the habit of having morning practicing sessions before leaving for our lessons. We do practice during the week, but our best practices are always the morning of lessons. Please don't tell our piano teacher! LOL! I guess its kind of like cramming. I like to think of it as that last chance to study before a test. LOL!

My mom-in-law watched Sophia, Kolbe and Catherine. After lessons we made a quick stop to the school/teacher's store to pick up some poster maps and other odds and ends. When we arrived at my mom's, the house smelled DELICIOUS!! She was making soup. I was about to pack up the kids when she asked if we wanted to stay for dinner.

Well, I didn't have to think too hard! LOL! Even though I knew we should go home and do our half day's worth of schoolwork (Tuesdays are half days), we stayed. While I played baseball in the backyard with Kolbe, the older girls were busy drawing pictures and talking with their grandma. Catherine did us all a favor and took a 2 hour nap.

I then took Isabelle home to get her ready for swim practice. After her swim practice I picked up the rest of the kiddos and we headed home.

Days like this remind me of why we moved back.

Oh, and Craig arrives home tonight! YEAH!!
