Watching this video brought tears to my eyes and even a little bit of holy envy. Oh, to have such a beautiful and orderly life to just love God!!!!! I love being a mother and watching this video made me realize I yearn for more order and more time with my Lord in my chosen vocation.
I'm struggling with the order and discipline part. Today I read The Holy Twins: St. Benedict & St. Scholastica to the kids. I made a mental note to look up St. Benedict's rule. I really need to be more self disciplined with my time. My peace and joy are being robbed due to my own laziness. And also misunderstanding of where my joy should really come from - being a daughter of God and nothing else.

I just finished reading a Mother's Rule of Life by Holly Pierlot which addresses just that...making/living your own rule of life in the way St. Benedict and other religious did/do. So if you haven't read it, I highly recommend it. If you have read it but are still struggling to actually go ahead and write/live your rule, I'm right there with you. :) You're in my prayers.
