The Future of House Hunting!!

Well, we're still trying to figure out which home we want to buy in SA. Last night Craig found two more and we were wishing there was a way to see them without having to drive the four hours. So he input their addresses in Google Earth and we were able to see them!!! We could see where they were located on the cul-de-sac. How big their lots and yards were. We found Craig's parents' house. Whenever the satellite picture was taken, his grandmother had been visiting because her car was parked in front of his house!!! We couldn't find our house because of all the pine trees. We "flew" over to the Vatican and looked there. Then we "flew" to California and Craig showed me where he normally stays and eats. If the technology could get more refined this could be revolutionary!! We couldn't see details but the location was very clear. Mostly, you're looking at rooftops. We flew over Sea World too.

After 10 years of marriage this is what Craig and I find exciting! Hee hee!! So beware, we might be spying on you! Or at least on you a few months ago. Its not a live satellite.

John was all excited about Google Earth last year when he got back from Iraq. I got to see Mosul and where he was living, and then we looked at all the placed we'd lived before, but our current house wasn't on there last time we looked...still too new. Welcome to the satelite view!

O my goodness! I have so got to check this out. We too are trying to get an idea about houses that are far away (for us about 4.5 hours). That is so cool!

David used it to show me his house in Bagdhad. I could even see the tanks in the driveway! Pretty neat, isn't it?

The address may or may not be correct when Google Earth pulls it up. I just looked up ours and it's about 6 houses too far down the street from our actual house (we're one of the few on our street that have a big tree in the backyard :) ). So, just a note :) But you still get a good idea of where an address actually is!
